Prince Rocky

2013-10-29 23.15.47

I might have mentioned once or twice before about my ongoing quest to become my kitten’s favourite person (or at least be able to walk  into a room without him leaving with his fluffy head held high) and I might have also mentioned that I am slightly neurotic when it comes to his wellbeing (I still maintain that you wouldn’t let a two year old human wander the streets alone so it’s not unreasonable for me to be a tinsy bit worried about my not-quite-two-year-old-very-idiotic-kitten doing the very same).

So you probably won’t be surprised to hear that when he started acting differently I started worrying again! Over the last week he has become loving, ever-present and much calmer than he usually is and I promise I am feeding him properly (although I wont lie – trying to trick him into liking me a bit more by bribing him with his food has crossed my mind in the darkest of my kitten days).

This morning as I was contemplating this sudden, worrying change in behaviour and looking pensively out of the window I realised…

It was raining

It was windy

It was cold

and that if I were a tiny kitten, with no cares in the world, I could probably put up with some idiots cooing at me if it meant that I could stay snuggled up on their bed all day and be treated like royalty.
