Things Rocky has taught me

kitten ball

1. If a cat loves you it is conditional, I have to work for it everyday and if I accidentally walk too loudly I’m in the bad books.

2. The rule ‘treat people how you want to be treated’ does not apply to cats – where are my gentle strokes, massages and palaces made from scratchy posts?

3. “Don’t do that” and “no” are not orders,  they are options and not very likely ones at that.

4. It is my fault if the weather is bad and I should probably have a word with the powers that be and explain that my darling Pocket Rocket has to stay in, yowling at the cat flap, because he doesn’t like his tiny white paws to touch anything even remotely wet/cold/muddy.

5. Food = love, cuddling = contortionist escape attempts, chin strokes = bliss (for approx 5 minutes before they = biting).

6. Cats fit into very very very small spaces and are very patient at playing hide and seek when it is vet time.

7. It’s more than okay to wee in the bath because baths look like giant litter trays of course.

8. Cats are not dogs. They don’t really want to spend time with you and they are definitely not above switching their allegiances for a piece of fish.

9. Just because it looks cute when a cat play bites does not mean it feels cute.

10. It is possible to get weirdly obsessed by a cat and accidentally become a crazy cat lady. Completely accidentally.

Haha, nice post! I don’t have a cat, so I can’t relate to anything up there, but it was really funny 😀
