Our poor little kitty hasn’t been very well recently. In true Rockstar style though, he has got one of the top vets in the country stumped as to why he has occasionally started walking strangely. Apparently it is not so much the strange walking but the fact that it only happens every few days or so and the rest of the time he spends either climbing our wardrobes, lying on his kitten tower resting (it is hard being a pampered kitten after all) or practising Jukitsu, which involves a lot of rolling around on his back, in a deceptively cute way, luring innocent fingers and toes into prime guard pulling position and copious amounts of feet stalking. I have dubbed his special move ‘Puss in Boots’ because he frequently looks up  at me with big innocent eyes that scream ‘stroke me I promise I won’t front snap kick your ass’. I fall for it every time!

In all seriousness though, as if I wasn’t a neurotic enough cat-mummy (yes that is how I refer to myself when talking to him and yes I do talk to him) I have so been worried about our little martial artist that now, every time he lies down, for more than 2 seconds, I have taken to testing that he is still breathing by tickling his tummy, which is a guaranteed way to get a quick bite or side claw-pin. So now he has even more opportunities to practice the noble art of Jukitsu and I’m now convinced that he spends a lot of his time only pretending to be asleep so he can showcase his new stealthy pounce.

Please send get well kitten vibes for Rocky and maybe some Valium and bandages for me.
