Sleep marathons

I have a theory. I’m pretty sure that when I go to sleep my mind wanders off to dreamland and meanwhile my body takes over, dresses me (I hope) and forces me to run marathons (the well-known midnight ones of course).

What other explanation is there for waking up tired, dehydrated, achy and all too often a bit sweaty (yuk)? As if any further proof was needed I also think I even may have sustained a running related injury recently as I awoke, the other day, to find my knee swollen and sore and I really didn’t have that much vodka or wear my heels for that long the night before so it couldn’t possibly have been to do with that!

I’ve started eating more before bed so that I’ll have enough energy for the marathons and I’m even considering going to sleep in my trainers just to make things a little easier for myself.

The only thing that I can’t work out is how I’m putting on weight and not getting any fitter. It must be to do with being big-boned 😉

Hey no more eating just before bed, it’s the worst time to eat for one thing regardless of the trainers notion, well I suppose a light snack is acceptable but nothing too generous unless you really are… running around all night 😉

Have a fun evening Lydia 🙂

Lol, I know exactly what you mean … think I’ve been on a few of those marathons myself. 🙂
