There’s some new monsters in town

They’re big, they’re bad and they’re…..spongy?

If I thought hissing at melons, shaking his feet constantly when he goes outside and his obsession with biting Ben on the nose every morning, at precisely 5am, were the sum of Rocky’s strangest habits I was very wrong. His new enemy comes in several shapes, sizes and colours and lurks around sinks and bathtubs looking deceptively innocent. Thank God Rocky knows better than to trust this secret assassin. I’m sure we would all be dead by now if he hadn’t hunted it down and tried to take it away to kill/eat/pee on. The only time Rocky has ever hissed at us is when we get too close to his meaty treats, when he is eating, until now with the dreaded sponge. Now a trip to the toilet (we can’t help it, he follows us in!) which already involves trying to keep Rocky from getting his claws stuck in the overflow (he has actually done this), from climbing in to the sink and from licking the toilet (ewww) now entails a furious sponge fight in which Rocky hunts down, takes down and chows down on the sponge (no matter where it hides). No sponge monster is safe!

I dread to think what would happen if he met Sponge Bob, maybe we should have a mother-kitten chat about the friendly sponges 😉
